Co-operative College of Education has been setup to prepare teachers for the profession. The College of Education offers B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) professional Teacher education programme in a regular full-time mode. The Co-operative College of Education has formal recognition from NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and is affliated to Pondicherry Central University

The college has highly qualified faculty members, comprising Doctorates, NET and SLET holders, with more than 14 years of teaching experience in their respective fields. The college has a panel of eminent visiting faculties, who include reputed practitioners, experts and consultants. To guarantee a high quality and up-to-date study programme, guest lectures, seminars are organized and regular meetings are held. We impart remarkable teacher education programme through different innovative techniques in classroom with the help of Lectures, Demonstrations, PPTs (power point presentations), Team Teaching, Group discussions, Project Method, Collaborative & Cooperative method, Assignment & Home work and well-equipped Workshops to provide our students a wide vision and comprehension.
The Co-operative College of Education function in its own building situated in the of Puducherry @Priyadhashini Nagar, Kann Doctor Thottam, next to the Bus Stand and very near to the beach. The college with spacious air conditioned Conference Hall is able to accommodate 250 persons for conducting Examinations Seminars, Workshops etc, with LCD Projector and other audio visual amenities.
The college has well-stocked libraries with a large number of books on subjects related to the courses taught, in addition to literary volumes, ready reference encyclopedia’s, etc. The college subscribes to all important newspapers, magazines, national and international books and journals. The library has a separate reference room in which students can put their raw ideas into perspective. The college gets resource assistance like e-books and e-journals from concerned university libraries. The list of teacher education books is being upgraded as per the requirement from time to time.
We provide campus interview every year and almost 80% of the students were selected and placed in various institutions, while the rest 20% of the students were opting for higher studies
